With this one, I’ve been trying [...]

Even if you’re spending every waking moment with people who think the funniest words you can utter are “butt” and “butt-cheeks” and who spend an inordinate amount of time uttering them.
Also, even from the internet. I did NOT take the laptop, *gasp*. And I was glad I didn’t. *Gasp, GASP* I spent my few moments [...]

Road trip!

I’m packing up the children and their stuff (WHY do they have so much STUFF?) and hitting the road for Ann Arbor tomorrow. My brother lives there (he’s a prof at the Univ. of MI) with his lovely wife and sprite of a daughter.
Did I mention that *I* am driving the children? As in BY [...]

He was discharged from the hospital today and will spend a few days rehab in [...]

I thought about writing an “opening up” kind of post, about this roller-coaster of grief that I and my family have been riding for two years. I thought I might vent, or dump, or do something carthartic like that in this space, for the first time since I started this LJ.
Then I thought, “nah.”
I don’t [...]

Empty

After spending something like a third of my entries on LJ either mewling about how do you write this? or– how do you balance the time it takes? or– oh, I don’t know if I can keep doing it!, I finally get a grip on how I want to write here, and make a commitment [...]

Did you know that Geoffrey Chaucer Hath a Blog?
Sweete, sweete did shew the linke to mee and it pleaseth mee. Certes!
